Five Invicta Players Selected for European Championships

4 June 2026

Congratulations to the five Invicta Touch players who have been selected to play for England at the European Touch Championships in Vichy in France in July.

Vaughn Meredith has been selected for his fifth consecutive European Championships as part of the England men’s open squad and will be looking to secure a fifth gold medal. Unfortunately Gus Lister misses out on joining Vaughn due to injury but he has been retained in the training group and will hope to be involved in their tour to Australia at the end of the year.

Lydia Ticehurst will be playing at her third Euros. Having won gold in the women’s open at the previous two events, Lydia has been selected in the mixed open squad this time and is aiming to help England win the division for the first time.

Suzanne Wilson is defending the women’s 40s title that she won with England in 2023. This will be Suz’s fourth Euros tournament 14 years after her first.

Dan Dyer will be playing in his first Euros with the England men’s 45s following a successful outing at the European Seniors Cup last summer.

2022 men’s 50s gold medalist Adrian Riggs is stepping up to the men’s 55s this year as the division features at the Euros for the first time. Martin Reynard has been named as a non-travelling reserve and could be called upon should any of the squad have to withdraw prior to the event.

Off the field, Invicta’s Eddie French is travelling to Vichy as assistant coach for the England men’s 50s. Congratulations also to former Invicta member Alice Summers who has been selected in the England women’s open team.
