Invicta Youngsters Represent South East at Junior Nationals

Four of our younger players were selected to play for the South East Sharks and South East Taipans at the Junior Nationals in Nottingham last weekend.

Canterbury Summer League MVP Erin Collins played in the Sharks side that reached the Girls' under-17s final with a drop-off victory over the South West Saxons in the semi-final. The Sharks eventually finished as runners-up to the Midlands Tigers.

Will Sands featured for the Taipans Boys’ under-17s. After losing narrowly in the cup quarter-final the Taipans went on to win the second-tier plate competition with a victory over the West Wildcats in the final.

Poppy Sands was part of the Sharks under-14 girls team that finished fourth while younger sister Betsy played for the under-12s Taipans girls team that finished sixth.
